Stigmas & Autism
“The truth is that 75 to 85 percent of the retarded are capable of becoming useful citizens with the help of special education and rehabilitation.”
– Eunice Kennedy Shriver

A bit about Autism:
Autism is a neurological disorder, which affects information processing in the brain. It causes impaired social interaction and communication, as well as limited and often repetitive behavior, and all symptoms can be detected before the affected individual reaches three years of age. It is estimated that presently, almost 1% of the population has been diagnosed with autism.
A bit about Lucky Harvest:

The Therapeutic Riding Center was the first recognized facility in Quebec, and has since inspired the opening of many other therapeutic riding centers across the province. Its goal is to provide therapy, rehabilitation and enjoyment to children, youths, and adults with physical, intellectual, emotional and/or developmental disabilities.
Lucky Harvest provides treatment for a broad range of disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Down's and Rett Syndromes, neuromuscular disorders, post-traumatic brain injury, autism, ADHD, and cognitive disorders.
